How to customize your wedding website design

Written by Zachary Ratliff

The Design panel lets you control the overall look and feel of your wedding website — from page layout and colors to fonts.

Website Layout

Choose how your home page is structured. There are six layouts available:

  • Custom — Build your home page freely by arranging any content blocks you want. When using Custom, you can also select a Saint-inspired theme (see Website Themes below).

  • Eden — A romantic editorial layout with a garden-inspired aesthetic, designed for couples who want something soft and lush.

  • Collage Design — A photo-forward layout featuring a collage, story columns, and an elegant details section.

  • Edge — A bold, editorial layout with large typography, dual photos, and centered details.

  • Glass — A modern layout with a full-bleed hero image, floating navigation, a centered story section, and an image-backed RSVP area.

  • Marian Chapel — A reverent, classical layout with warm parchment tones, cross dividers, and traditional typography.

Note: Switching layouts may change the structure of your home page. If you switch to a curated layout (anything other than Custom), your existing content blocks will be replaced with fixed sections. Cana keeps a session copy of your previous layout, so if you switch back to the same layout in the same browser session, your content blocks will be restored.

You can further customize your home page content by clicking Design your home page at the top of this panel.

Website Background Color

Set the background color for your website. You can:

  • Click the color swatch to open a full color picker and enter any hex color value.

  • Click one of the Suggested swatches to quickly apply a pre-selected wedding color palette.

Fonts

Control the typography across three distinct areas of your website. Each area has an independent font family and size setting.

Header Font

The font used for large headings and titles on your home page. Choose a font family and size that sets the tone for your wedding style.

Menu Font

The font used in your site's navigation menu. Keeping this consistent with your header font creates a cohesive look, but you can mix styles for contrast.

Body Font

The font used for paragraph text, descriptions, and general content throughout your site. Prioritize readability here — a clean, legible body font ensures guests can easily read all the details.

Font sizes range from 8pt to 40pt for all three settings.

Website Themes (Custom layout only)

When the Custom layout is selected, you can choose from a curated set of themes that apply a coordinated color palette and default fonts to your site. Select the theme that best matches your wedding's aesthetic — you can always switch themes without losing your content.

To save your changes, publish your website from the main editor toolbar.
