What does it mean to publish my wedding website?

Written by Zachary Ratliff

Publishing your wedding website means making the version you’ve built in the editor live for your guests to view.

While you’re editing, you’re working on a private draft version of your site. You can update pages, change your design, rearrange sections, and preview everything before anyone else sees it. None of those draft edits are visible to guests until you click Publish Changes.

Once you publish:

  • Your current draft becomes the live version of your wedding website.

  • Guests can visit your site using your website link or QR code.

If you keep editing after publishing, those new edits stay in your draft until you publish again. This makes it easy to prepare updates without changing the version your guests currently see.

A few helpful things to know

  • Your website starts out private and is not accessible to guests until it has been published at least once.

  • Publishing replaces the live version with your latest draft.

  • Your QR code always points guests to your published website.

  • Your website URL and website password are separate from publishing. If you update either one in Settings, those changes apply immediately.

  • Search engine visibility is also separate. Turning it on or off can take time to update in places like Google.
